Before you panic: AI can actually help

Now, before this becomes a complete AI doomsday manifesto, let’s recognize something important: AI isn’t bad by nature. It has achieved remarkable things. The issue lies not in the technology, but in how we use it.

Take Cognitive Tutor, an AI-based software system. Research by Kenneth Koedinger and Albert Corbett showed that it helped students score 15-25% better on standardized tests, including the Math SATs.

In essence, Cognitive Tutor improves learning. It doesn’t replace it. It acts as a training partner, not a substitute teacher, that allows you to skip class entirely.
