The Brahmakamal

I went up the trail to Hemkund Sahib just to spot the Brahmakamals.

The Brahma Kamal is a rare Himalayan flower, one that blooms high up in the mountains, often under the cover of night. There is something almost magical about finding one in the wild.

The trail was wrapped in mist, and I used the cover of it to quietly make my way up, hoping I would catch a glimpse of these beautiful flowers.

And then I did.

There they were, blooming quietly in the mist. It was one of those sights that makes the long climb completely worth it.

A magnificent sight.

Made my day.
